6 Things I Try to Eat Daily for Clearer Skin

Everyone lusts after a bright clear complexion. Clear skin can be the difference between looking great and looking amazing. For me, clear skin can be the difference between a good day and a bad day. People spend hundreds of dollars on products and procedures that cover and correct imperfections in the hopes to face the world with a smooth flawless front. Nobody, no matter how confident or good-looking, can deny the fact that they long for healthy skin. Some people are born with it. Most of us are not. The good news is, there are ways to improve complexion that do not rely on makeup, medication, or a trip to the dermatologist's office.

Most people agree that there is a strong correlation between diet and nutrition and the health of your skin. As the saying goes, "you are what you eat." Therefore, supplementing your diet with nutrients that could benefit your skin would make sense. Besides, what do you have to lose? You only have a bright, clearer complexion to gain!

I have been consuming these products for about a year now and here are some of the benefits I’ve noticed along the way:

  • Longer and fuller eyelashes and eyebrows

  • Less hormonal breakouts

  • Less laugh lines and wrinkles (compared to women my age of the same ethnicity)

  • Improved digestion and digestive regularity

  • Less stress and anxiety

  • Increased energy and concentration

1. Multi-Vitamin. There are many of these to choose from. My only recommendation is to make sure that you buy a high-quality product from a trusted and well-reviewed company. See here for what I take.

2. Fish Oil. Again, many to choose from. I take fermented cod liver oil to reap the benefits of fermentation as well as fish oil. See here for what I take.

3. Tumeric Tea. See here for what I take.

4. Flax Seed. I buy the seeds whole and use a grinder to sprinkle over basically anything I eat – oatmeal, avocado toast, cereal, even pizza and coffee!

5. Avocado. Two words: avocado toast.

6. Collagen Chews. Okay, I’m not entirely sold on the whole collagen thing but hey, if it works, then I’m ahead of the game. It doesn’t harm me and honestly, it’s like eating 2 pieces of candy every day. See here for what I take.
